Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Pulse Drive (“we,” “us”), a product of TeslaPulse, collects when you use teslapulse.xyz and the Pulse Drive service, how we use it, and who we share it with. We keep this deliberately plain.

1. Information we collect

• Account & payment. When you subscribe, our payment processor Stripe collects your email and payment details. We do not store your card number — Stripe does. We store your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference.
• Tesla connection (optional). If you connect a Tesla, we store the access tokens Tesla issues, your vehicle identifier (VIN), and vehicle name, so we can read your car’s location to power the radar. You can disconnect at any time.
• Location. While you use Drive Mode, we process your vehicle’s GPS (via Tesla) or, in Phone GPS mode, your phone’s location, in real time to show cameras near you. We do not store your driving route or sell your location. If you report a camera, the location of that camera is saved to improve the map for everyone.
• Usage & analytics. We record which pages are viewed, the site you came from, steps in the sign-up flow, and any optional survey answer — tied to a random session ID, not your name.
• Cookies. We set a first-party session cookie (tp_sid) and store your app settings in your browser. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How we use it

• To provide the camera radar and your account.
• To process your subscription and free trial through Stripe.
• To understand how the product is used and improve it.
• To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your personal information or location data.

3. Who we share it with

We share only what’s needed with service providers who help us run Pulse Drive:

• Stripe — payments and subscription billing.
• Tesla & Tessie — to read your own vehicle’s location, at your direction.
• OpenStreetMap / DeFlock — map tiles and the public database of surveillance-camera locations.
• Fly.io — hosting our servers.

Each processes data under its own privacy terms. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data retention

We keep account and subscription data while your account is active and as required for tax and legal purposes. Analytics are kept in aggregate. Real-time driving location is not retained after it’s used to compute nearby cameras.

5. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), gate access to camera data and your location behind your account, and store credentials as secrets. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

6. Your choices & rights

• Cancel anytime from the billing portal (“Manage billing”) — your access continues to the end of the paid period.
• Disconnect your Tesla at any time to revoke our access to your vehicle.
• Access or delete your data — email us and we’ll help. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data (e.g., under CCPA/CPRA or GDPR).

7. Children

Pulse Drive is for drivers and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify subscribers.
